This photograph appear in a small book called ‘The Story of a Mendip Lad 1903-1939’ written by Lewis Pritchard. ‘My father was a gamekeeper employed by Mr Gaythorne Hill, the managing director of Charles Hill & Sons, Ship owners and Ship builders at Albion dockyard, Bristol… They resided at Hazel Manor on Mendip in the Pariish of Ubley. My father and his family lived at Hazel Manor Lodge’.
