Mr & Mrs George White at Paywell Farm. This photograph was taken as part of a campaign which took place 1955-57 (during the time my father Bert Gallop was Chairman of Blagdon Parish Council) to supply piped water to farms/houses at Charterhouse.
Nordrach upon Mendip Sanatorium had been taken over by Bristol Coorporation to use as a hospital, a piped water supply had been provided, but farms and dwellings close to the supply were not connected to mains water.

The photograph was published in one of the farming magazines.
