    It’s more than 50 years since I played Bill Day at snooker on Percy Lyons’ table in Rowberrow. He beat me easily although I was quite a good player for a kid. Bill Day used to live in the gatekeeper’s lodge at Langford Court, the Wills’ family home. The stance of the player lining up for the shot is very similar to that of Bill Day, it could be him, perhaps.
