Things to think about
• Is the image the right way round?
• Is it duplicated in the archive?
• When was the image taken?
• Why was it taken?
• Who took it?
• Where is it?
• What does it show?
• Can you identify the people in it?
• Any observations about the image
• Anecdotes inspired by the images

Sammy Sampsons.
Sammy was one of Blagdons great personality’s. He used to have a saying if several boys turned up together to deliver papers. He would say “one boys a boy, 2 boys half a boy and 3 boys no boy at all”, so 2 of us would have to go before he would give the papers out. He used to be handy with hair clippers as well.
Yes I can remember this shop.My Grandfather had the Bakery next door.Edward Cole and every Sunday all the cousins and us use to go to Sammy’s and get our Sweets.Happy Days.
