Things to think about
• Is the image the right way round?
• Is it duplicated in the archive?
• When was the image taken?
• Why was it taken?
• Who took it?
• Where is it?
• What does it show?
• Can you identify the people in it?
• Any observations about the image
• Anecdotes inspired by the images

A www.blagdon.org project |
The lady is probably Mrs Daphne Birch who moved into The Old Rectory with her husband John i 1958 and had the conservatory built on top of John`s study and had a spiral staircase inside leading to their bedroom. John was later Chair of the Parish Council and is well remembered for his input at the Cricket Club.
Daphne and her husband John moved later to a new house built next to The Old Saddlery,Blagdon.
Yes it is Mrs Birch, I used to help out there on Saturday mornings in the garden whilst I was still at secondary school at Churchill
