Andrew’s uncle Arthur looked after the horses at the The Bristol Veterinary School at Langford and he used to go back at night to check the horses were bedded down properly. The barn owl used to attack him as he went across the grounds – he took to wearing a tea cosy to protect his head! The photograph and associated story were published in the Nature magazine.
